Cairo, November 02 (QNA) - The Arab League has strongly condemned repeated attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), using drones to target vital facilities and energy infrastructure in the Sudanese states of Khartoum, Al Jazirah, Sennar, Al Qadarif, River Nile and Red Sea.

The attacks have caused extensive damage to the facilities, forcing several out of service and disrupting electricity supplies across large areas, further worsening the suffering of civilians, the Arab League said.

In a statement issued Monday, the Arab League warned that the deliberate targeting of power stations and civilian facilities that do not constitute military objectives represents a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and constitutes a war crime warranting accountability.

It added that such attacks deprive civilians of essential services, particularly electricity, water, health care and education, while disrupting productive activities and deepening the humanitarian suffering of the Sudanese people.

The Arab League also categorically rejected all attacks targeting civilians and civilian and service facilities, reaffirming its longstanding position of supporting Sudan and preserving its unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and national institutions, as well as protecting the country's resources and infrastructure.
