Yemen Coalition Announces Military Operation to Cripple Houthis' Critical Resources
Riyadh, November 01 (QNA) - The Houthis are prosecuting a deliberate and systematic campaign of attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen and Saudi Arabia, the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said.
The coalition's official spokesperson, Maj. Gen. Turki Al Maliki, highlighted that the Houthis are exploiting vital resources to support their military efforts and bolster their military capabilities, particularly ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). He underscored their systematic exploitation of critical resources to advance their hostile operations.
As these attacks persist, posing a direct threat to civilian lives and infrastructure, Al Maliki confirmed that the coalition's joint forces conducted a surgical operation early Sunday to neutralize critical resources used by the Houthis to sustain their brutal and recurrent attacks and imperil the security of Saudi Arabia and Yemen, as well as maritime navigation routes in the southern Red Sea.
Al Maliki assured that the joint forces' command would continue taking essential operational measures to deter the Houthis' belligerent behavior and cripple their use of critical resources in support of their military efforts, while unflinchingly safeguarding the security of Saudi Arabia and Yemen and maritime navigation in the southern Red Sea.
He stressed that the Houthis must cease all hostile and brutal operations against civilians and civilian infrastructure or face the consequences of their belligerent actions. (QNA)
