Gold Prices Rise as US Rate Hike Bets Ease
Singapore, October 05 (QNA) - Gold prices climbed in early Asian trading on Monday as softer economic data tempered expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate hike this month.
Spot gold rose 0.3% to $4,153.32 an ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery advanced 0.5% to $4,182.40.
Among other precious metals, spot silver jumped 1% to $60.97 an ounce, platinum gained 0.4% to $1,705.70, and palladium advanced 0.7% to $1,176. (QNA)
