Occupied Jerusalem, October 05 (QNA) - Dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday through Al-Maghariba Gate during the morning and afternoon incursion periods, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

The incursions are part of ongoing settler assaults on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, protected by occupation forces, amid Palestinian warnings of attempts to impose a new reality and alter the site's established historical and legal status quo.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that 11,409 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the so-called Jewish holiday season, bringing the total number of settlers who have stormed the site since the beginning of the year to 52,277.

During the season, the mosque's courtyards witnessed a series of public Talmudic prayers and rituals conducted under the protection of occupation police.

The Jerusalem Governorate noted that these practices were repeated inside Al-Aqsa Mosque throughout the season, particularly in the eastern area, coinciding with the ongoing incursions.

Palestinian entities warned that the continuation of these practices threatens to alter the historical and legal status quo of Al-Aqsa Mosque and impose a temporal and spatial division of the site. They emphasized that the entire 144-dunam area of the mosque is an exclusive place of worship for Muslims.

Occupation forces continue to tighten restrictions around Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, coinciding with the ongoing settler incursions and public religious rituals. (QNA)
