Paris, October 04 (QNA) - The 2026 Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe concluded this evening at the Paris Longchamp racecourse in Paris.
Held under Qatari sponsorship and through a collaboration between the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club and France Galop, the governing body for horse racing in France, the event's final day of races was attended by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani crowned the winners of the Qatar Arabian World Cup (Group 1), in the presence of Chairman of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah and President of France Galop Guillaume de Saint-Seine.
HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani presented the trophies to the winners of the Group 1 Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere.
QREC Chairman also crowned the winners of the Group 1 Qatar Prix de la Foret.
With the conclusion of the day's races, the curtain fell on the 2026 edition of the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe festival in Paris, marking the culmination of an eighteen-year partnership between the QREC and France Galop. Since its inception in 2008, this sponsorship has been far more than a conventional arrangement; it represented a strategic shift that reshaped the European racing landscape and granted Purebred Arabian horses unprecedented prominence at major festivals, particularly through the Qatar World Cup race, which has become a focal point capturing the attention of millions in the lead-up to the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe itself.
