Saudi Arabia Suspends Travel To and Arrivals From Kenya Over Ebola Outbreak
Riyadh, October 30 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia has introduced additional precautionary measures against Ebola, including suspending travel to Kenya, halting all visa issuance for travelers from the country, and barring entry for those who have stayed in Kenya or Ebola-affected countries during the 21 days before arrival.
The Saudi Public Health Authority said the health situation in the Kingdom remains reassuring and is under continuous monitoring.
It added that preventive measures have been taken to strengthen response readiness and protect public health.
The measures build on precautions introduced in July 2019 and strengthened in May 2026.
In June 2026, Saudi Arabia also suspended travel to and arrivals from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan, while tightening screening and epidemiological surveillance at entry points. (QNA)
