Mogadishu, October 03 (QNA) - Somalia condemned an attack targeting a power distribution station in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

In a statement issued Saturday, Somalia's Foreign Ministry said targeting a civilian facility serving one of Islam's holiest sites constituted a violation of the sanctity of religious sites, international law and the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia.

The statement also expressed Somalia's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed its support for efforts to protect the kingdom's security and sovereignty, as well as the safety of its citizens, residents and visitors to the holy sites.

Somalia reiterated its rejection of acts that threaten regional security and stability and called for those responsible to be held accountable. (QNA)
