Egypt, Turkiye Vow to Step Up Efforts to Prevent Further Regional Crises
Cairo, October 28 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, reaffirmed their commitment to continued consultations and close coordination, as well as efforts to prevent further crises in the region, during a phone call on Wednesday.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two ministers discussed the latest regional developments as part of ongoing consultations between the two countries, both bilaterally and through the R4 quadrilateral ministerial mechanism, which also includes Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Abdelatty stressed the need for concerted efforts to promote calm and prioritize de-escalation, amid the region's fluctuating trajectory between signs of military escalation and moves toward de-escalation over the past several days. (QNA)
