Qatar Real Estate Forum Backs Sustainability, Diversification, Minister Says
Doha, October 27 (QNA) - Qatar's fourth Real Estate Forum is providing a platform for government agencies, developers, investors and industry experts to discuss ways to strengthen the sector's competitiveness and sustainability.
HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi made the remarks during a visit to the Ministry of Justice pavilion at the forum, where His Excellency reviewed its services and initiatives and toured exhibitions by government entities, real estate companies and developers.
He said the forum had become a leading national platform for exchanging expertise and discussing the future of the real estate sector in support of Qatar's economic diversification goals and Qatar National Vision 2030.
Al Mohannadi described real estate as a key pillar of economic development, adding that Qatar's stability, advanced infrastructure, flexible legislation and efficient government services helped strengthen investor confidence and establish the country as an attractive and secure destination for property investment.
He highlighted the Ministry of Justice's services for the sector, including property transaction registration, title deed issuance, sales and ownership transfers, and services allowing non-Qataris to own or use real estate. The ministry also works with the Ministry of Interior to provide residency services linked to property ownership.
The Ministry of Justice is continuing to digitize and improve these services through its online SAK platform, with the aim of simplifying procedures, speeding up transactions and improving the customer experience, he said.
Al Mohannadi added that the ministry was looking to use artificial intelligence to enhance real estate services, provide additional value to property owners and investors, and support decision-making through more accurate and comprehensive information.
He said the use of AI could also improve transparency and the efficiency of digital services supporting the property market.
The minister praised the forum's organization and the breadth of topics on its agenda, including property valuation, market data, financing, sustainability, digital tokenization of assets and artificial intelligence.
He stressed that closer cooperation between government agencies and the private sector, alongside knowledge-sharing and innovative solutions, was essential to building a more transparent and efficient property market capable of attracting domestic and foreign investment and supporting sustainable development.
