Israeli Occupation Forces Conduct New Incursion Into Southern Syria's Quneitra Countryside
Damascus, October 24 (QNA) - An Israeli occupation force comprising multiple military convoys conducted a foray into Al-Kassarat Junction in the northern Quneitra countryside of southern Syria, established a military checkpoint, and frisked passersby, Syrian sources said Saturday.
The sources added that another Israeli occupation force thrust into an area west of Taranja village in northern Quneitra, detaining three people before releasing them later.
On Friday, Israeli occupation forces detained a man while he was grazing sheep during an incursion near Hader in northern Quneitra.
They also shelled the outskirts of Al-Hamidiyah in the governorate’s northern countryside and Bir Ajam Forest in the south with several artillery rounds. No injuries were reported.
Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated forays into southern Syria and raid operations.
Syria continues to call for international action to halt these encroachments and compel Israel to withdraw fully from Syrian territory. (QNA)
