Riyadh, October 22 (QNA) - The death toll from an attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, rose to two, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said Thursday.

The fatalities were a Saudi citizen and an Indian national, the authority said. Eight others were injured in the attack on Wednesday evening, with injuries ranging from minor to serious.

GACA said it was working with the relevant security authorities to assess the damage and take all necessary measures to protect passengers and airport personnel and maintain the security of the Kingdom's civil aviation system.

It added that airport operations had resumed and air traffic had returned to normal. (QNA)
