Palestinian Center: 350 Children Facing Dire Conditions in Israeli Occupation Prisons
Ramallah, October 15 (QNA) - Palestinian Center for Child Rights (PCCR) warned of deteriorating conditions for children detained in Israeli occupation prisons, reporting widespread torture, starvation, and medical neglect alongside a total ban on human rights organizations accessing the facilities.
Executive Director of the organization, Khaled Quzmar stated in comments reported by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that Israeli occupation forces detained more than 2,000 children since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, with at least 350 remaining in custody under dire conditions.
Quzmar highlighted the surge in attacks by Israeli occupation forces and settlers against Palestinian children, particularly during the olive harvest season, as farmers are blocked from accessing their land and subjected to threats and violence.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) announced last month that the total number of Palestinians held in Israeli occupation prisons exceeded 9,350, including 350 children and 90 women. (QNA)
