Doha, October 15 (QNA) - Al Shahania coach Younes Ali and Al Arabi coach Cosmin Contra have confirmed that their respective teams are ready for Friday's encounter at Khalifa International Stadium, as part of the Week 6 of the Doha Bank Stars League.

Speaking to the media ahead of the match against Al Arabi, Al Shahania coach said: “It is difficult facing Al Arabi, a well-organized side with significant experience and players capable of making a decisive impact. Our focus remains on our own performance and style of play on the pitch.

“My prior familiarity with Al Arabi is a positive factor even though they have since brought in new players and technical staff. I have confidence in the potential of my players and their ambition to deliver a performance that truly reflects their capabilities,” said Younes.

For his part, Al Arabi coach Cosmin Contra stated: “The coaching staff and players have moved past our recent victory over Al Sadd, with their focus now entirely shifted toward preparations for the next challenge.

“League matches demand consistent tactical and mental discipline. Al Shahania are well-organized defensively and possess a squad of capable players, which necessitates maximum effort, composure and the clinical conversion of scoring opportunities.

“Regarding the injury to player Rodri Sanchez, I can say that his absence is a significant loss, given the value he brings to the pitch and the vital contributions he makes to the attacking line.

“But I have absolute confidence in the rest of the squad to step up, fill the void and deliver the desired performance,” said Cosmin. (QNA)
