Riyadh, October 12 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the 16th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity, held in the Saudi capital Riyadh, as part of Riyadh Energy Week.

The State of Qatar's delegation to the meeting was headed by HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Engineer Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance Arab regional cooperation in the electricity sector, the exchange of expertise, investment projects, and modern technologies for developing Arab energy infrastructure. The Arab ministers also reviewed several reports by specialized Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity committees on several issues, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, a common Arab electricity market, and the peaceful use of nuclear energy for electricity generation and seawater desalination.
