IED Blast Kills Two, Injures Three in Mosul, Northern Iraq
Baghdad, January 04 (QNA) - Two individuals were killed and three others sustained varying injuries following the explosion of an improvised explosive device (IED) left behind by the ISIS group near Al Ayadhiya, west of Mosul in northern Iraq.
An Iraqi security source in Nineveh Governorate stated Sunday that the device exploded as sheep herders were passing through a rural area near Tal Abta, west of the city of Mosul.
The source added that security forces cordoned off the site of the incident and launched a probe to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The bodies of the two victims were transferred to the forensic medicine department, and the injured were hospitalized, the source continued. (QNA)
