Doha, January 29 (QNA) - Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, is participating as a Diamond Partner in Web Summit Qatar 2026, reaffirming its commitment to positioning Qatar as a global hub for deep technologies, artificial intelligence, and impact-driven innovation.

In a statement issued on Thursday, QSTP said its participation in the summit, to be held from Feb. 1 to 4 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, aims to support the growth of startups, connect them with investors and international partners, and contribute to global dialogue on artificial intelligence and innovation ecosystems, while highlighting the Middle East's expanding role in the export of intellectual property.

President of QSTP Rama Chakaki said the park brings together founders, investors, and operators to develop frontier technologies and facilitate their transition from research to real-world application. She noted that QSTP's participation in Web Summit Qatar 2026 underscores its commitment to strengthening Qatar's position as a global destination for deep tech and innovation with tangible impact.

As part of its participation, QSTP will showcase its programs at a dedicated pavilion, host specialized workshops, and present 30 incubated startups, in addition to highlighting 24 supported companies within the summit’s startup zone.

Chakaki will also take part in a panel discussion titled "Why You Can't Ignore the Middle East in 2026," while Innovation and Entrepreneurship Director at QSTP Hayfa Al Abdulla will deliver a training session focusing on the practical application of artificial intelligence and value creation.

QSTP will further organize a side event titled "The Future Is Female: Investment, Leadership & Impact" on Feb. 3, aimed at highlighting women’s leadership and strengthening links between founders and investors. (QNA)
