Egyptian FM Discusses Regional Updates with Iranian FM, US Special Envoy to Middle East
Cairo, January 28 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed on Wednesday, through two separate phone calls, with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi and United States (US) Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, the latest regional updates amidst increasing tensions.
Egypt's Foreign Ministry stated that Abdelatty affirmed the importance of intensifying efforts aimed at minimizing tensions and working to bring peace to avoid dragging the region into further instability.
Abdelatty also stressed the necessity of committing to diplomatic paths and preparing proper conditions to resume talks between the US and Iran to reach a comprehensive agreement regarding the nuclear file that takes into consideration the best interests of all parties and contributes to supporting security and stability at the regional and international levels.
