Undersecretary of Ministry of Justice Lauds Doha Legal Forum as Leading Platform for Promoting Justice, Rule of Law
Doha, January 26 (QNA) - HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi affirmed that the Doha Legal Forum, which its inaugural edition commenced today, represents a leading platform for promoting justice and the rule of law, building bridges of cooperation, and exchanging legal expertise.
This, in turn, enhances sustainable development, strengthens the investment environment, and positions the State of Qatar as a global hub for legal dialogue.
His Excellency stated that the forum brings together an elite of decision-makers; legal professionals; academics; and experts to discuss key legal challenges and anticipate the future of legislation, keeping pace with regional and international transformations and contributing to the achievement of the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly in the judicial; economic; and social sectors.
In a press statement, he noted that the forum addresses key issues including legislative policy and alternative dispute resolution methods, the legal regulation of the energy and financial services sectors, public-private partnership contracts, artificial intelligence technologies, and the commercial bankruptcy system, all in line with digital transformations and to bolster investor confidence in the legal environment.
At the end of his remarks, HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice praised the existing partnership between the Ministry of Justice and the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre, and the sponsorship of the forum by national institutions, stressing that the deliberations during the forum will contribute to strengthening legal thought and consolidating the values of justice and the rule of law.
