Doha, January 17 (QNA) - Al Sailiya scored a thrilling and vital 2-1 win over Qatar SC in Week 13 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Grand Hamad Stadium on Saturday.
Abdulrahman Mohammed (72nd minute) and Diogo Amaro (84th minute) scored the goals for Al Sailiya, while Joao Pedro scored for Qatar SC in the 80th minute.
After a goalless first half, Al Sailiya moved into the lead as Abdulrahman Mohammed made the most of a fine assist provided by Abdulla Hussain Al Muftah. Qatar SC, however, hit back soon through Joao Pedro.
Soon, Eisa Ahmad Khaldi aimed for the target, but a diving Al Sailiya goalkeeper Fahad Younis pushed the ball towards a lurking Amaro to strike his team's winning goal.
The result gave Al Sailiya valuable three points to move away from the dreaded 12th spot, while Qatar SC remained on 17 points. (QNA)
