Private Engineering Office Organizes Pakistani Citrus Exhibition at Al Wakrah Old Market
Doha, January 15 (QNA) - The Private Engineering Office, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the State of Qatar, organized the Pakistani Citrus Exhibition at Al Wakrah Old Market.
The exhibition will run until January 18, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Approximately 30 specialized Pakistani companies are participating in the exhibition, showcasing a diverse range of Pakistani citrus fruits, including oranges, sour oranges, and sweet oranges, in addition to other varieties that are popular with the public.
In this regard, Director of Al Wakrah Old Market and General Supervisor of the Pakistani Citrus Exhibition, Hamad Rashid Al Kaabi told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the exhibition is part of the joint cooperation with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and aims to stimulate commercial and tourism activity in the market, attracting visitors from within Qatar and abroad.
Al Kaabi added that the exhibition witnessed a large turnout from the public, especially families, noting that sales were good, reflecting the festival's success and its achievement of its objectives.
He emphasized the importance of holding such festivals in the old Al-Wakra market, given their role in revitalizing the market, attracting visitors, and providing a unique entertainment atmosphere, particularly with events held on the waterfront and accompanying activities such as the weekly antiques and collectibles auction.
Concluding his remarks to QNA, Hamad Rashid Al Kaabi expressed his hope that the exhibition would continue to be held in the coming years, given its significant popularity and success since its inception. (QNA)
