NATO Launches Largest Military Movement Exercise to Bolster Defensive Capabilities
Berlin, January 15 (QNA) - NATO launched its largest military movement exercise of 2026, dubbed Steadfast Dart 26, with the first contingent of Italian soldiers expected to arrive later today at the German port of Emden in East Frisia, along with equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
Germany is the host country for this major military exercise, and also represents a pivotal center for logistical operations, according to data from the German army.
NATO's operational headquarters in Brunssum, the Netherlands, explained that the port of Emden will witness the public start of the maneuver in Germany. The exercise aims to test the ability to move forces quickly and in a coordinated manner.
The exercise also includes training in receiving, equipping, and redeploying multinational units in realistic conditions, with the aim of enhancing NATO’s ability to defend against any attacks targeting the alliance’s territory and demonstrating this capability. (QNA)
