Saudi Stock Market Ends Higher as TASI and Nomu Post Gains

Riyadh, January 01 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia's main stock index closed higher on Thursday, supported by gains across most sectors, according to official market data.
The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose by 58.39 points, or about 0.6%, to finish at 10,549.08. Trading turnover reached SAR 1.5 billion ($400m), with around 94 million shares changing hands.
Shares in 218 companies ended the session higher, while 37 stocks recorded losses.
The parallel market, Nomu, also posted strong gains. Its index climbed 222.72 points to close at 23,519.01, with trades worth SAR 16 million.
More than two million shares were traded on the junior market, which is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized companies. (QNA)
