Qatari Swimmer Ali Tamer Wins Silver Medal at Asian Aquatics Championships in India
New Delhi, September 30 (QNA) - Qatari swimmer Ali Tamer won the silver medal in the 100m freestyle Tuesday at the 11th Asian Aquatics Championships, being held in Ahmedabad, India, and continuing until October 11.
Ali Tamer clocked 49.46 seconds, while China's Wang won the gold medal with a time of 49.19 seconds, and India's Natraj won the bronze medal with a time of 49.96 seconds.
Ali Tamer won the gold medal in the 50m freestyle last Monday, while Mohammed Mahmoud won the bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke.
The Qatari swimming team is represented by four swimmers in the championship: Ali Tamer, Mohammed Mahmoud, Hamza Shalaan, and Abdullah Al Ghamri.
The Asian Aquatics Championships, in which 25 countries are participating, includes swimming, diving, water polo, and artistic swimming. (QNA)
