Occupied Jerusalem, September 28 (QNA) - Settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the settlers entered the mosque in groups, conducted provocative tours within its courtyards, and performed religious rituals in front of the Dome of the Rock, all under the protection of Israeli police.

Since the start of Israeli large-scale assault on Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank in October 2023, more than 68,000 settlers have entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound with the backing of Israeli forces. Access to the mosque and the Old City has been tightly controlled, with security measures significantly intensified. (QNA)
