Doha, September 23 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Qatar Fayez Majed Abu Al Rab, affirmed that the speech of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, before the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, reflects Qatar's firm and supportive position for the Palestinian cause and reflects a firm commitment to stand by the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and independence.

In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) Tuesday, HE the Palestinian Ambassador said that HH the Amir's speech came at a critical moment with the ongoing brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, accompanied by war crimes and grave violations of international law.

He pointed out that HH the Amir's words constituted a cry of truth in the face of injustice and a clear demand to halt the war of extermination, end the unjust blockade, and for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards the protection of civilians.

The Palestinian ambassador added that the speech reiterated that a just and comprehensive solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict can only be achieved through a political settlement based on international legitimacy resolutions and UN charters, ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He explained that this position is fully consistent with the aspirations of the Palestinian people and strengthens their steadfastness on their land.

His Excellency also praised HH the Amir's emphasis on the need to resume the peace process through serious and credible negotiations, with a specific timetable to end the occupation. He emphasized that Qatar has always placed the Palestinian cause at the forefront of its international discourse and made it a constant priority in its foreign policy.

He noted that HH the Amir explicitly criticized the international community's inability to take deterrent measures against Israel's aggressive and settlement policies, a position that reflects Qatar's courage and commitment to establishing justice and protecting international peace and security.

In the same context, HE the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the State of Qatar addressed the brutal Israeli attempts to undermine the State of Qatar, lauding HH the Amir's courageous and strong stance in defending Qatar's sovereignty and national dignity. This stance reflects the steadfastness of the Qatari leadership and its determination to protect its sovereignty. He linked this stance to HH theAmir's unwavering positions in defending the issues of the Arab nation, foremost among which is the Palestinian cause.

He also noted the prominent role played by HH the Amir through diplomatic and legal action on the international stage, considering that these actions were not limited to supporting Qatar in the face of the treacherous and cowardly attack by the Israeli occupation, but also embodied the central role Doha plays in the international system and consolidated its position as a respected and appreciated regional and international actor.

The Ambassador noted that the wise leadership is keen to adopt a distinct approach in shaping its relations with the world, through continuous support for peaceful solutions to regional and international conflicts, and its commitment to promoting development, stability, and peace at the regional and international levels, while keeping the Palestinian cause always present on His Highness the Amir's agenda in international forums.

On another note, the Palestinian Ambassador to Qatar, in statements to QNA, stressed the importance of the increasing international recognition of the State of Palestine, indicating that this international movement constitutes an advanced step towards ending the occupation and achieving justice for the Palestinian people.

He noted the strong support provided by the State of Qatar for these recognitions, both through its bilateral relations and through its diplomatic platforms.

On the humanitarian front, His Excellency praised the State of Qatar's continued provision of humanitarian and development support to the Gaza Strip and its coordination with international partners to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, in addition to its ongoing support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

He considered this approach to reflect the authenticity of Qatar's position and its moral and humanitarian commitment.

HE Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the State of Qatar concluded his statement to QNA by affirming that the Palestinian people and their leadership highly appreciate the noble and courageous Qatari positions, stressing that this support will remain present in the Palestinian national memory as a symbol of authenticity and loyalty.
