Doha, September 02 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Real Estate General Authority (Aqarat) has officially revealed the 3rd edition of the Qatar Real Estate Forum 2025, set to occur from Oct. 14 to 16 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), simultaneously with the Cityscape exhibition.

The forum is organized as a manifestation of the Authority’s commitment to enhancing the role of the real estate sector as a key pillar in the Third National Development Strategy (2024–2030), in line with the wise leadership’s directives to build a more prosperous future for the State of Qatar.

Chairman of the Real Estate General Authority (Aqarat) Eng. Khalid bin Ahmed Al Obaidli said during his speech at the press conference held Tuesday to announce the forum, that organizing this edition is an extension of the successes achieved by the previous editions, and comes as part of the efforts to strengthen Qatar’s position as a leading real estate and investment destination.

He considered it an annual platform for investors, experts, and real estate developers to explore promising opportunities in the Qatari real estate market, enhance confidence in the sector, and encourage cooperation among various stakeholders, supporting the development path aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

He noted that the third edition this year is distinguished by a strategic partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which will be the official guest of honor at the forum, represented by a pavilion that includes several Saudi government entities concerned with the real estate sector, in a step aimed at enhancing integration and exchanging expertise between the two countries.

He outlined the main themes that the third edition of the forum will focus on, noting that they will address key issues to boost the sector’s growth.

The first theme focuses on the government’s role in the sector, by shedding light on legislations and policies that ensure a safe and attractive real estate investment environment. The second theme will be dedicated to real estate technology, to showcase the latest digital solutions aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency.

He added that the third theme will address the investor’s journey, by presenting key guidelines that enable investors to maximize the opportunities available and facilitate procedures, while the forum’s fourth theme will highlight the major and promising projects that open new horizons for development and progress in the State of Qatar.

In the same context, Aqarat Chairman Eng. Khalid bin Ahmed Al Obaidli said in response to journalists’ questions that there are ongoing consultations and proposals with relevant entities that include some real estate products and easy financing programs in coordination with banks to enable citizens, residents, and newlyweds to own property, noting that most banks have expressed their willingness to provide real estate financing provided that guarantees are available for them.

He confirmed that Aqarat has introduced the escrow account, which provides guarantees and reassurance for banks in the process of financing real estate projects licensed by the Authority.

He explained that the forum will serve as a comprehensive platform for all real estate sector activities and will include details of the investor’s journey, noting that the conference will be attended by more than 30 speakers from the State of Qatar, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Asia, and America.

The press conference today witnessed the announcement of the signing of official sponsorship agreements for the forum’s activities with a number of prominent companies to support the forum and highlight the pivotal role of the real estate sector in the country.

He concluded his speech by extending his thanks and appreciation to all the sponsoring companies for their confidence and support of the forum.

Regarding the promotional efforts for the forum, the Chairman of the Authority explained that “Aqarat” has developed a comprehensive and integrated media plan for this edition, and an official website for the forum was launched today.

He expressed his thanks to all sponsors and partners for their support and cooperation in preparing to launch the third edition of the forum, confirming that their contributions will be a key pillar in making this anticipated event a success.

The Qatar Real Estate Forum is a leading annual platform that brings together a select group of leaders, decision-makers, experts, investors, and developers in the real estate sector, to serve as an effective space for dialogue, exchange of expertise, and future foresight.

The forum also seeks to keep pace with the latest global trends in fields such as sustainability, real estate technology, and smart city development, which enhance the competitiveness of the Qatari market and affirm Qatar’s position as a leading destination for real estate investment regionally and internationally.

The Real Estate General Authority called on all investors, developers, experts, and those interested in the real estate sector in the country to visit the forum’s official website to view the registration details and participate in the forum.

The second Qatar Real Estate Forum 2024, which was held in partnership with Cityscape, witnessed the participation of more than 14,000 people, and the signing of 16 agreements, including 13 agreements with local real estate companies and 3 agreements with the Real Estate General Authority.

The second edition of the forum also witnessed broad participation from senior officials, experts, specialists, and prominent national and international companies in the real estate field, and the forum featured over its three days a series of panel discussions and workshops that focused on the latest trends and innovations in the real estate sector with the participation of 29 speakers from experts and specialists.

The sessions covered many topics, including the roadmap to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030 in the real estate sector, the importance of tourism and technology in enhancing the real estate sector, as well as reviewing the prospects of real estate investment in Qatar supported by advanced infrastructure and a strong economy.
