WISE Launches 2025–26 Edtech Accelerator Cohort to Transform Global Learning
Doha, September 16 (QNA) - The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative of Qatar Foundation, today announced the launch of a new cohort of its WISE Edtech Accelerator, introducing eight pioneering startups from around the world that are redefining the future of learning.
Selected from over 300 applicants, these ventures represent bold solutions to some of education’s most pressing challenges.
This year, the Accelerator introduces two tracks: a global track, supporting impactful Edtech ventures worldwide, and a local track, dedicated to nurturing startups ready to scale in Qatar's dynamic education ecosystem.
Since its inception, the WISE Edtech Accelerator has been a catalyst for education innovation, providing startups with world-class mentorship, strategic support, and access to Qatar’s thriving education ecosystem.
"Edtech is no longer a luxury. It is essential to unlocking opportunity at scale," said Stavros N. Yiannouka, CEO of WISE.
"This year's cohort reflects a powerful mix of local and global innovators, each tackling systemic challenges in education with creativity, technology, and purpose."
This year's program welcomes regional innovators such as AlGooru, a fast-growing tutoring platform in Saudi Arabia, alongside iSchool and SkillUp MENA, working to build digital skills and foster a stronger learning culture across the region.
Spanning continents and focus areas, the ventures collectively showcase a global impact: Wonderly equips teachers worldwide to teach coding, Nyansapo AI empowers African schools with AI-based tools, Xertify reimagines digital credentials globally, Musa transforms Whatsapp chats into learning experiences across Latin America and Africa, and InvestEd unlocks education financing for students in the Philippines.
To mark the start of this year's program, WISE convened a session, organized with the support of the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), spotlighting the eight startups of the new Accelerator cohort.
Rwodah Al Naimi, Investment Department Manager at QFFD, said: "Education is a tool that must be invested in, as it serves as a catalyst to bridge gaps often widened by conflict and natural disasters.
At QFFD, we are committed to supporting grassroots solutions that generate real impact, addressing modern-day education challenges in developing countries and empowering vulnerable communities, and we are happy to see the startups of this new WISE Accelerator cohort bring forward targeted solutions to local gaps in education and amplify their impact by harnessing technology, investing in a brighter, more resilient future."
Participants in the program highlighted that joining WISE offers a valuable opportunity to broaden their impact and strengthen their educational mission.
They emphasized that Qatar's ambitious vision for innovation and education aligns closely with their own goals of empowering teachers and students with the skills needed to thrive in an era of technological transformation.
The unveiling of the 2025–26 cohort underscores WISE's mission to empower education innovators and position Qatar as a global hub for transformative ideas.
By supporting these startups, WISE and Qatar Foundation are not only amplifying bold solutions but also ensuring that learners everywhere have access to the tools, skills, and opportunities they need to thrive. (QNA)
