Doha, September 12 (QNA) - Al Sailiya SC announced Friday the signing of Algerian player Adam Ounas from Al Sadd, without disclosing the length of the contract.

The club said in a statement that the 28-year-old Algerian player will strengthen the first football team for upcoming events.

Ounas joined Al Sadd in November 2024 from French club Lille, where he had played since 2022 and made 26 appearances.

The Algerian player began his career with Bordeaux in France, progressing through the youth ranks to the first team in 2015.

He played 60 matches, scored 10 goals, and provided 6 assists until 2019.

Ounas then moved to Napoli in Italy, where he played 62 matches and scored 7 goals over five years. He was loaned to several clubs, including Nice, Cagliari, and Crotone, before making a permanent move to Lille in France.

Ounas played 28 matches for the Algerian national team, scoring 5 goals, and was part of the team that won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Al Sailiya currently occupies 11th place in the Qatari Football League (Doha Bank Stars League) with no points after losing three matches. (QNA)
