Doha, September 01 (QNA) - The Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) announced changing its official logo, 20 years after its establishment under Law No. (33) of 2005.

The QFMA joined the umbrella of the governmental visual identity of the State of Qatar after adopting the official emblem of the State in its new corporate identity. This move reflects the well-established and close connection between the Authority and the national identity and further enhances its institutional presence both locally and internationally.

In view of this development, the QFMA has become one of the government agencies using the State emblem as its official logo.

This change comes within the framework of developing the Authority's corporate communication strategy in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. It also embodies its commitment to transparency and the enhancement of confidence in Qatar's financial markets, in addition to supporting an investment environment known for its efficiency and integrity.

As such, the QFMA shoulders a pivotal role in Qatar in its capacity as a key pillar in regulating the country's financial markets.

Through its new corporate identity, the QFMA shall continue to strive to enhance the effectiveness of its presence in the financial services sector as well as among peer entities operating within the same field around the globe.

The new logo, as underlined by the QFMA, will strengthen its commitment to consolidating its regulatory, supervisory, and oversight role in the country's capital market sector. To this end, the QFMA is diligently moving forward with confident steps with a view to enhancing and developing the investment environment in Qatar by issuing the necessary regulations, bylaws, decisions, and instructions to implement the provisions of the law and also by ensuring that the companies licensed by the QFMA and subject to its supervision act in accordance with the observed international standards of transparency, integrity, and governance.
