Jerusalem, August 06 (QNA) - The Israeli occupation authorities on Wednesday decided to bar the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories, Sheikh Muḥammad Ḥussein, from Al‑Aqsa Mosque for six months.
Local sources reported that the Israeli move came following the expiration of his eight‑day expulsion over his Friday sermon in which he denounced the starvation policy pursued by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
On Jul. 27, 2025, the Israeli occupation forces subpoenaed Sheikh Ḥussein and handed him an eight‑day expulsion order from the mosque, subject to renewal. (QNA)
