Qatar's Swimmers Win Triple Gold at Arab Aquatics Championships in Morocco
Casablanca, August 31 (QNA) - Qatar's swimmers continued their brilliant run at the 4th Arab Aquatics Championships for Age Groups, clinching three new gold medals in Casablanca, Morocco.
Ali Sayed stormed to victory in the men's 100m freestyle (general category), clocking an impressive 53.77 seconds to claim gold. In the 200m breaststroke (13–14 age group), Adam Morsi secured Qatar’s second gold of the day with a winning time of 2:29.24 minutes.
The third gold came through Mohammed Mahmoud, who topped the podium in the 200m individual medley (general category), finishing in 2:20.24 minutes. Aziz Ismail won the bronze medal in the 100m butterfly (17-18 age group) with a time of 56.13 seconds, while Hamza Shalan claimed the bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke (17-18 age group) with a time of 2:24.80 minutes.
The tournament, which runs until September 1, features athletes from 19 Arab nations across swimming, water polo, and open water swimming. (QNA)
