Israeli Strikes Kill 11 Palestinians Across Northern, Central and Southern Gaza
Gaza, August 19 (QNA) - The Israeli occupation army on Tuesday launched a series of airstrikes on multiple areas across the Gaza Strip, killing 11 Palestinians and wounding others.
Medical sources reported that 5 Palestinians were killed, among them two brothers, while others were wounded after the Israeli combat aircraft pounded two homes in Asqoula area, in Al Zaytoun neighborhood, southeastern Gaza City.
In addition, three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli shelling, while they were checking their homes in Jabalia Al Balad in the northern Gaza enclave.
In the central Strip, a woman was killed after sustaining critical injuries in a previous Israeli bombardment of the new camp north of Nuseirat, while a Palestinian was also killed and others were wounded after the Israeli fighter jets bombed a group of Palestinians in Al Hakkar area in Deir Al Balah.
A Palestinian was shot dead by the Israeli gunfire near an aid distribution center in eastern Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
On Tuesday, the death toll from the drawn-out Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, rose to 62,064, with 156,573 reported wounded, mostly women and children.
The Israeli occupation army resumed its offensive in the Gaza enclave after breaching the ceasefire deal on March 18, following a two-month let-up, targeting multiple parts of the enclave, which is already reeling from an unprecedented humanitarian calamity following a 22-month war. (QNA)
