Al-Ahli SC Signs Midfielder Khalid Mohammed for One Season
Doha, August 17 (QNA) - Al-Ahli SC announced Sunday the signing of midfielder Khalid Mohammed on a one-season loan from Al-Duhail.
In a statement posted on the club's website, Al-Ahli confirmed that Khalid, a member of the Qatari national team, has signed a contract to join their squad for the 2025–2026 season. The club emphasized that the decision to sign him was based on the technical staff's vision and their need for a high-caliber midfielder to bolster the team—particularly as they prepare to compete in the AFC Champions League Two, where they will represent Qatari football.
The statement also highlighted Khalid's familiarity with the team, having previously played for Al-Ahli during three separate stints—in 2019, 2021, and 2023—which is expected to ease his integration into the squad.
On the domestic front, Al-Ahli began their Doha Bank Stars League campaign with a 0-2 loss to Al-Shamal in the first round. They are set to face Al-Sadd on Thursday in Round 2 of the competition. (QNA)
