Cairo, August 10 (QNA) - The Qatari national basketball team will face its Kuwaiti counterpart tomorrow, Monday, at the Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex. This match is part of the second round of the 22nd edition of the Arab Under-16 Basketball Championship for boys and girls, currently taking place in Cairo, and continuing until August 17.

The Qatari team aims to secure a victory in tomorrow's game to make up for the loss it suffered against Bahrain in the tournament's first round, with a score of 90-58. Qatar currently holds one point, while Bahrain has two points.

Qatar is scheduled to play its third match in the championship against Egypt the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, followed by a game against Algeria next Thursday. The team will conclude its preliminary round matches by facing Tunisia next Friday.

The tournament features six teams: Qatar, Bahrain, Tunisia, Kuwait, Algeria, and the host nation Egypt. The competition is held in a single round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final, while the teams ranked third and fourth will compete in the third-place playoff.

The Qatari delegation in Cairo is headed by member of the Qatar Basketball Federation's Board of Directors, Abdullah Sultan Al Jaber, accompanied by Director of youth national teams, Khalid Al Mughanni. (QNA)
