Doha, July 08 (QNA) - Education City celebrated the inaugural World Volleyball Day with a special women’s sports event organized in collaboration with the Qatar Volleyball Association.

The event, held at Education City Stadium, featured spirited friendly matches with participants from various age groups, starting from girls aged 6 and above. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and a spirit of positive competition.

This initiative aimed to raise awareness about women’s sports and encourage community participation in athletic activities.

The event also sought to provide a supportive and safe environment for all members of society, while promoting values of health, physical activity, and celebrating volleyball as a sport that teaches teamwork and commitment.

Starting this year, countries around the world will annually celebrate World Volleyball Day on July 7, as part of a global initiative launched by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the governing body responsible for promoting and developing the sport. (QNA)
