Saudi Al-Qadsiah Pens Two-Year Deal with Veteran Defender Yasser Al-Shahrani
Riyadh, July 28 (QNA) - Saudi club Al-Qadsiah FC have blissfully announced the signing of veteran defender Yasser Al Shahrani on a free transfer, locking in a two-year deal following the expiration of his contract with Al-Hilal SFC.
The club unveiled the 33-year-old left-back in a video shared across its official social media platforms, welcoming back a familiar face who first rose through Qadsiah's youth system before moving to Al-Hilal in 2012, where he went on to enjoy a glittering 13-year spell.
Al-Hilal, in turn, posted a farewell video, captioned: "13 years of gold... Thank you, Yasser Al Shahrani".
Al Shahrani showed up 420 times for Al-Hilal SFC, scoring 15 goals and registering 41 assists, while building a decorated career that saw him lift six Saudi Pro League titles, two AFC Champions League trophies, five King's Cups (Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup), and five Saudi Super Cups.
Last season, he featured in 20 matches across all competitions but was sidelined in December due to injury, before returning to action in April.
On the global stage, Al Shahrani has earned 78 caps for the Saudi Arabian national team, including his appearance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals. (QNA)
