Doha, July 10 (QNA) - Al Rayyan SC announced Thursday the return of its Spanish forward Rodrigo Moreno from Al Gharafa following the conclusion of his six-month loan spell.

In an official statement shared on the club's social media platforms, Al Rayyan confirmed that the 34-year-old striker has rejoined the first football team after a successful stint with Al Gharafa.

The club stated that the decision to bring Moreno back was made to benefit from his technical abilities in the upcoming phase, especially after he adapted well to the football environment in Qatar.

Moreno played a key role in Al Gharafa's triumph in the Amir Cup last May and contributed significantly to the team's third-place finish in the Qatar Stars League (QSL).

The Spanish international had originally joined Al Rayyan on a two-year contract from Valencia CF but spent only half a season with the club before being loaned to Al Gharafa.

Al Rayyan is set to kick off its 2025–2026 season with a match against Al Sailiya on August 16 in the opening round of the Qatar Stars League. (QNA)
