Doha, June 26 (QNA) - Al Sailiya SC announced Thursday the official signing of midfielder Ahmed Yasser Al Sibai from Al Ahli SC.

The club said in a statement on its official social media accounts that Yasser will be with the team for the next phase, as his contract extends for two seasons and expires in the summer of 2027.

The statement added that the signing of the player was based on the coach's technical vision and the team's need for players in various positions on the field, noting that the player is a member of the club, having played for the first team before moving to Al Ahli Club.

Yasser, 26, played for Al Ahli Club for three seasons and participated in more than 20 matches last season (2024-2025).

Al Sailiya began a series of local signings in preparation for the start of the 2025-2026 Qatar Football League season, to which it returned after a season in the second division.

The team will begin their season against Al Rayyan on Aug. 14. (QNA)
