Iraq Reopens Airspace to International Air Traffic
Baghdad, June 24 (QNA) - The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced on Monday fully reopening its airspace to air traffic.
The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced in a press release that it has reopened Iraqi airspace to air traffic following a comprehensive assessment of the security situation and coordination with relevant national and international authorities.
The press statement indicated that air navigation will be operated within International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, with full adherence to safety procedures and continuous coordination with the regional air navigation center and aviation offices of neighboring countries.
The Iraqi Ministry of Transport had announced yesterday the closure of Iraqi airspace to aircraft traffic, including the southern region. (QNA)
