Cairo, June 23 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty affirmed his country's full solidarity with the State of Qatar following the recent Iranian attacks that targeted its territory, stressing Egypt's condemnation of any violation of Qatar's sovereignty and security, and its rejection of all forms of threats to the security, safety, sovereignty, and stability of brotherly Arab countries.

This came during a series of phone calls Minister Abdelatty held on Monday with a number of his Arab counterparts regarding the rapidly evolving situation in the region, in light of the blatant violation of Qatar's sovereignty following the Iranian attack on Al-Udeid Air Base.

Those phone calls were held together with: Saudi FM Prince Faisal bin Farhan; Bahraini FM Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani; Kuwaiti FM Abdullah Al Yahya; Iraqi FM Fuad Hussein; and Jordanian FM Ayman Safadi.

According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry's statement, the discussions during the calls addressed the implications of the attacks on the State of Qatar and the threat they pose to the region's security and stability, in addition to reviewing the growing military escalation and its dangers.

The Foreign Ministers agreed on the critical importance of de-escalation, reducing tensions, exercising restraint, and coordinating regional and international efforts to contain the rising tensions and restore calm in the region. (QNA)
