Qatari Swimmer Mohamed Mahmoud Qualifies for World Aquatics Championships
Paris, June 18 (QNA) - Qatari swimmer Mohamed Mahmoud has qualified for the World Aquatics Championships, scheduled to be held in Singapore from July 11 to August 3.
The Qatari swimmer qualified after setting the qualifying time in the 50m breaststroke with a time of 28.06 seconds during his participation in the French Elite Championships held in Montpellier.
Mohamed Mahmoud is the second Qatari swimmer to qualify for the World Aquatics Championships, following his teammate Ali Sayed, who also qualified after setting the qualifying time in the 100m butterfly with a time of 53.54 seconds during his participation in the Canadian Swimming Trials.
Doha hosted the previous edition of the World Aquatics Championships 2024, with the participation of 2,600 athletes representing 201 countries. (QNA)
