Doha, June 11 (QNA) - Al Sadd Club announced Wednesday the renewal of the contract of its defender, Pedro Miguel, until 2030.

The 18-time winner of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) title announced in a statement that its defender Miguel had officially signed a contract renewal that will keep him with the team until 2030.

Pedro, who joined Al Sadd in January 2016 and has since gone on to win 12 titles with the club and two AFC Asian Cup titles with Qatar in 2019 and 2023, expressed his happiness at renewing his contract with Al Sadd until 2030, considering playing for the team a huge responsibility.

He pointed out that he is in his tenth season with Al Sadd, stressing that he is aware of the great ambitions of the club's fans.

Al Sadd retained their title as QSL champions in the 2024-25 season with 52 points, two points ahead of Al Duhail, and succeeded in reaching the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite before being eliminated by Japan's Kawasaki Frontale 2-3. (QNA)
