Doha, May 08 (QNA) - Qatari cinemas are screening a variety of international films this week, coinciding with their releases in cinemas worldwide.

The films range from thrillers to dramas and action, along with adventure and animation films for children and families.

Among the films screening this week is the action thriller "Shadow Force." The film revolves around a couple who go on the run with their son when a bounty is placed on their lives by a secret operations unit.

The film is directed by Joe Carnahan and stars Omar Sy, Kerry Washington, and Mark Strong.

Cinemas are also screening the action drama "The Martial Artist." The film revolves around a martial arts fighter who faces many ups and downs on his journey to glory, discovering that the struggles aren't just inside the ring, and that his toughest opponent isn't his competitors, but himself.

The film stars Faran Tahir, Gregory Sporleder, and Liz Fenning, and is directed by Shaz Khan.

Among the drama, adventure, and animated films for children and families, the film "Bambi" will be shown. The film tells the story of a fawn (Bambi), who stays by his mother's side from birth to learn survival techniques while making friends with other animals.

However, he soon becomes an orphan after his mother is killed by a hunter. He relies on his father's guidance and learns to navigate life's dangers. The film is directed by Michel Fessler and stars Mylene Farmer.

A number of previous films are still being shown in cinemas, such as "Until Dawn" and "Snipers", among others. (QNA)
