Microsoft Unveils New Surface Pro and Laptop
Washington, May 07 (QNA) - Microsoft has expanded its Surface lineup with the introduction of the Surface Laptop 13-inch and Surface Pro 12-inch tablet, both powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Plus processors.
These devices come with PixelSense displays and offer updated Windows 11 experiences. Key features include new AI-driven actions in File Explorer, improved functionality in Notepad, and enhanced ways to interact with Microsoft Copilot.
Both new products have 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. The Surface Pro display is smaller, but better in other respects. It has a resolution of 2196أ—1464 pixels and supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz. At the same time, the 13-inch Surface Laptop display supports a resolution of 1920أ—1280 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. In both cases, touchscreen displays are used.
Another difference between the Surface Pro is that it supports Windows Hello through the camera, while the laptop uses a fingerprint scanner to identify itself. In addition, the tablet has an additional 10-megapixel camera on the back.
Microsoft calls the new laptop "the thinnest and lightest Surface Laptop ever". The device is made in an anodized aluminum case. It is smaller than the existing models, which have screens of 13.8 and 15 inches.
This new product has also lost the proprietary Surface Connect port and now charges via USB-C. The new Surface Laptop is equipped with two USB-C 3.2 ports, one USB-A 3.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. (QNA)
