London, May 30 (QNA) - Liverpool signed right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

The 24-year-old Dutchman joins the Premier League champions after four-and-a-half seasons in Germany, including a 2023/24 campaign in which he starred for Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen side as they stormed, unbeaten, to the Bundesliga title.

Frimpong also helped Leverkusen to lift the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) in that historic 2023/24 season, followed by the DFL-Supercup in 2024/25.

The Amsterdam-born Frimpong began his career in the youth ranks at Manchester City before heading to Celtic in 2019. (QNA)
