Doha, May 24 (QNA) - HE President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain, lauded the "concluding atmosphere" of the 53rd HH the Amir Cup 2025 final.

The match, held Saturday at Khalifa International Stadium, saw Al Gharafa defeat Al Rayyan 2-1 to claim the title.

In a statement, Al Buainain extended sincere thanks to all partners from government, security, and media entities who collaborated with QFA in organizing this grand final.

He added that their efforts ensured all means of comfort for the cherished fans present at Khalifa International Stadium, through exemplary and distinguished organization in all aspects.

The QFA president concluded by congratulating the clubs that won football championships this season, wishing all clubs success in upcoming local and international competitions.

Notably, only eight teams have won the previous 52 editions of HH the Amir Cup. Al Ahli secured the first title by defeating Al Rayyan 6-1, a scoreline that remains the highest in a final to date. Al Sadd holds the title from the previous edition, having beaten Qatar SC 1-0. (QNA)
