Tunis, May 16 (QNA) - Tunisia will host the second edition of the Arab Forum for Contemporary Texts next week under the theme "The Last Metaphor: Poetry as an Exercise in Existence," with the participation of 14 poets from Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Syria.

The organizers explained in a statement that the forum will shed light on two main themes: "Writing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" and "The Relevance and Validity of Poetic Texts."

The program will feature a variety of activities, including poetry readings, art workshops, exhibitions, and theatrical performances, as well as intellectual interventions.

The opening will include a visual arts exhibition titled "Creative Touches" and several artistic performances, including an expressive musical poetry performance titled "Inventing the World."

A tribute to the late Tunisian poet Mohamed El Ghazi will be presented through the screening of the short documentary film "Saleel El Ma" (Descendant of Water).

The event will also feature a presentation of the poetry collection "Do I Have Water at the Door of Lovers?" This collection documents a number of his poetic selections, translated into French by the poet Moez Majed.

The forum will also include a photographic exhibition on the career of Tunisian writer Mahmoud Messadi and a critical presentation on "Writing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Fragile Existence." (QNA)
