Police Academy Organizes Academic Seminar on Role of Security in Preserving Cultural Identity
Doha, May 12 (QNA) - The Center for Security Research and Studies at the Police Academy organized an academic seminar on Sunday titled "The Role of Security in Preserving Cultural Identity," as part of the activities held alongside the 34th edition of the Doha International Book Fair.
The seminar was attended by HE Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police Academy Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, and was moderated by Professor Dr. Yousuf Mohammed Al Obaidan. Discussions focused on contemporary cultural challenges and underscored the importance of collaboration between security and cultural institutions to safeguard national identity.
Director of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Muftah, presented a paper highlighting the MOI's efforts in this area through awareness campaigns, community policing initiatives, and relevant national legislation.
The seminar also featured contributions from HE Member of the Shura Council Khalid bin Ghanem Al Ali Al Maadid and Director of the Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani Center at Hamad Bin Khalifa University Professor Dr. Aisha Yousuf Al Mannai. (QNA)
