Doha, April 7 (QNA) - Al Arabi Club was crowned champion of the Qatar Basketball League for the 2024-2025 sports season, after defeating Al Rayyan 92-86 in the final match held Monday at Al Gharafa Club Hall.

The final match was full of excitement and rivalry, as the two teams traded leads and superiority throughout the four periods.

The first period ended in a 25-25 draw, reflecting the equal balance at the start of the match.

Al Arabi imposed their style in the second period, dominating it 22-15, and continued their dominance in the third period with a 25-21 victory.

The fourth period witnessed a resurgence from Al Rayyan, who won 25-20. However, this was not enough to turn the match around, as Al Arabi secured the victory by a margin of six points, becoming champions for the 10th time in their history.

With this coronation, Al Arabi added their 10 title in their history and the second in a row, confirming their strong presence in recent years and strengthening their position as the second most decorated club in the league, behind Al Rayyan, whose tally stands at 18 titles. (QNA)
