London, April 04 (QNA) - Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City announced today that star player Kevin De Bruyne will leave at the end of the current season.

The club said in a statement that De Bruyne will not renew his contract, following a 10-year spell with the club. For his part, Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne said it was difficult for him to make the announcement, but felt an obligation towards the fans to announce it.

De Bruyne is won 16 titles since joining Manchester City in 2015. Among them were six Premier League titles, and the UEFA Champions League in 2023.

He still has a chance to end the year with a trophy, with the team still competing in the FA Cup. (QNA)
